Sourcing models

Cable assembly work supports two material models: customer-consigned material, where you supply wire, cable and connectors against your approved sources; and turnkey sourcing, where materials are procured to your specification. Hybrid models - you consign the critical items, we source the standard ones - are common. The model is agreed before quoting, because it changes both price and lead time.

An assembly drawing with connector callouts, a BOM where one is needed, the test requirements that apply, the quantity, and the delivery dates you are working to. With that in hand, a supplier can quote precisely; without it, quotes are guesses that get revised later.

Can you build from our drawings?

Yes - assemblies are manufactured to your drawings and specifications. If a drawing is incomplete or ambiguous, we raise questions before starting, so the finished assembly matches your intent.

What quantities do you support?

From prototype and low-volume builds through production runs. Tell us the quantity and schedule in your enquiry and we will confirm what we can support.

Can you source the materials?

Material sourcing models - customer-supplied, turnkey, or a mix - are agreed per job during enquiry.

What testing is included?

Continuity verification is standard on cable assemblies. Additional testing such as hipot or insulation resistance is agreed with you and quoted as part of the job.

Do you have a minimum order value?

Minimums depend on the job. For small prototype requirements, send the enquiry - we will tell you directly whether it fits.

Can you match an existing sample if we have no drawing?

Often, yes - a sample plus your specification can be reverse-documented into a build drawing that you approve before production. Raise it in your enquiry and we will tell you what is involved.

How are assemblies packed for shipment?

Coiled without sharp bends, protected at connector ends, labelled and packed so assemblies arrive as they left the bench. Packaging requirements beyond this are agreed per job.
